The Australians, who led 8-6 at halftime, scored try for try with Transvaal, and the difference at the end was two penalty goals by the Transvaal five-eighths, Natu Rens. Until the last 10 minutes, when they were leading 14-12, it looked as though the Australians would win. Then Transvaal came in with a storming finish that few sides could have withstood, and hammered the Australian line relentlessly, scoring two tries, one of them converted. REPRESENTATIVE MINOR FIXTURES Results of other representative fixtures have been advised in the following Press Association messages:— Nelson and Golden Bay-Motueka drew, 6 all, in a home-and-home match. For Golden Bay B. Capon kicked a penalty goal, and j. Domett scored a try. N. Sharp and L. Champion each scored a try for Nelson. Southland Sub-Unions beat Otago SubUnions by 12 points to 3 at Invercargill. A last-minute try gave Horowhenua a win over Bush by 6 points to 3 at Levin. The score at half-time was 3-all.
