LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
1. Letters sent to the Editor for printing must be written in ink on one side ot the paper only, and writers must send in their names and addresses in full, whether they wish these to be printed or not. 2. Writers must say clearly whether or not their letters are being or have been sent to other papers. 3. The Editor cannot return or keep any letter which for any reason is unsuit- • able for printing, nor can lie acknowledge unsuitable letters, although this will be done where it seems to be needful, or enter into any correspond-> ence about the letters sent in. 4. Curious.—A list appeared in "The Press” of recipients in “The Press’s” circulation area. An inquiry is already being made about your other quesk tion. Reader (Westport).—The District Commissioner of Taxes (Mr N. A. Rowntree) says: “They are liable for income tax as soon as they arrive in the country.”
Curious. —1. The present seven-year contract will expire in September, 1955. but by its terms notification to discuss its future must be made this month. 2. Members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. 3. One shilling.
