first) were:— Vesty beat Marshall, 9-3, 9-5, 9-5; Mochan beat Paterson, 9-2, 9-0, 9-0; Milne beat Devoss, 9-2, 9-2, 4-9, 4-9, 9-0; Guna beat Matthews, 7-9, 9-5, 9-4. 4-9, 9-1.
