FIRE IN MANAIA TOWN HALL
(New Zealand Press Association) HAWERA, June 20. Fire destroyed a portion of the Manaia Town Hall about 6 o’clock this morning.
The Manaia and Hawera brigades, however, made a good save of the town board’s offices, the foyer, a film projection room enclosed in steel, a supper room, and a kitchen block. Insurances on the building totalled £15,600.
