Men and Women Lepers.—Nearly T m , en contract leprosy among Pacific Islanders as women according to New Zealand Lepers’ fw th « operations ;of the Makogai Leper Hospital Fiji. At the end of last year, 455 men and 232 women were at the hospital Of the 70 islanders admitted during the year with leprosy, 47 were men, and nine men died of the disease during the year, compared with only four women. Thirty-nine men and 18 women were discharged during the year.
