As a result of representations by the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association the Manufacturers* Research Committee of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research now has two members from Canterbury and one from Otago on the advisory committee of the Canterbury College Industrial Development Department. Mr F. C. Penfold has represented the Manufacturers’ Research Committee for some time, and the second Canterbury representative is Mr J. A. White, also of Christchurch. The Otago representative is Mr L. C. Baker, of Dunedin.
