SHIRLEY WOMEN’S BOWLING CLUB
A mixed tournament was held to close the season of the Shirley Women’s Bowling Club, members of the men’s club being the guests. Prizes won during the season were presented as follows by the president (Mrs I. Small), who thanked all for their co-operation:—
Singles championship, Mrs N. Gourley; pairs championship, Mesdames K Edge and C. Palmer (skip); fours championship, Mesdames R. Hyde, N. Gourley, H. Muff, and R. Spnart (skin): first-year players, Mrs M. Challis; president’s fours, Mesdames M. Denton. P. Orchard, M. Thompson, and J. Mclntosh (skip); handicap singles. Mrs M. Thompson.
