LORRY AND BUS COLLIDE

PASSENGER IN TRUCK KILLED

(New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, April 9. John Moylan, a contractor, aged 59, of 12 Raymond street, was killed when a passenger bus collided with a lorry at Roslyn Bush about 4.30 p.m. today. The bus, which was carrying school children and adults from Invercargill to Waitane, was badly damaged. No passengers were injured. Mr Moylan, who operated a fleet of trucks, was travelling as a passenger towards Invercargill in one of his vehicles when’ the collision occurred. The impact forced the bus through a gorse fence. It came to rest after breaking off a power pole. The truck was overturned. Mr Moylan suffered injuries from which he died within a few minutes.
