ORIGINAL STATEMENT EXPLAINED

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. December 2.

The Agricultural and Immigration Attache to the Netherlands Legation (Mr H. De Bruin) today explained his remark reported yesterday that New Zealand could take 10,000 migrants each year. “I gave the impression that I meant 10.000 Dutch migrants.” said Mr De Bruin. “What I meant was that New Zealand could take that total number of migrants from many different countries.”
