WILLIAMSON HOCKEY PARK

USE FOR CLUB MATCHES

Williamson hockey park will be used for club hockey matches for the first time next Saturday, it was decided by the management committee of the Canterbury Hockey Association last evening. Svdenham seniors will meet Trinity in the main game, and Selwyn will play Training College in a junior B game The New Zealand Hockey Association wrote asking for dates for a further five matches for the Challenge Shield. It was agreed to offer the following dates: — August 2. August 23, August 30. September 13. and September 20. The challengers are: Wellington. Waikato, Poverty Bay M.-nawatu. and Otago.

Two teams will be sent to Otago on June 2, the first team to plav a trial match for the New Zealand selectors. It was/iecided to play the match against Australia at Williamson Park.
