QUEEN MEETS DR. ADENAUER

LONDON, February 20. Queen Elizabeth speaks German as well as French. While the West German Chancellor (Dr Adenauer) was in London, she asked that he be presented to her and she talked for 10 minutes with him in German. She began learning German when the war started, and the late King decided that she should continue.
