MESSAGE TO NEW ZEALAND (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 8. A message from the United States Secretary of State (Mr Dean Acheson) to the Prime Minister (Mr Holland), expressing sorrow at the death of King George, has been received by the Government. The Acting-Prime Minister (Mr K. J. Holyoake) said to-day that the message from Mr Acheson was as follows; “I have learned with the deepest regret of the death of his Majesty King George, and I extend to you and the other members of your Government my profound sorrow.”
