PETROL STATION SUPPLIERS
(Rec. 7 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 15. Only one of nine Australian oil comCanies is now still insisting on onerand petrol stations, the general secretary of the Service Station Association (Mr C. A. Gregory) said to-day. The Atlantic Union Oil Co., Ltd., is the latest company to decide to supply petrol and oils to all multiple-brand stations using its pumps. A few days ago the Vacuum Oil Company also indicated that it would not withhold supplies from stations selling multiple brands. Mr Gregory said the Shell Oil ComCany was now the only company which ad said it Intended to remove some pumps from service stations selling multiple brands near stations selling only Shell products. The Shell, Vacuum, and Atlantic Oil companies originally joined in a move to establish a one-brand system for service stations.
