(Rec. 8 p.m.) TAIPEH. Sept. 18. The Chinese Nationalist Government yesterday appointed Commodore Kao Ju Fen to succeed Lieutenant-General P. T. Mow as the chief Nationalist representative on the Military Staff Committee of the United Nations Security Council. t „ The Government has charged General Mow with refusing to account for about 20.000.000 dollars in allocations for equipping and training the Nationalist armed forces. It dismissed him and ordered hiin to return to Formosa. General Mow denied the charges and refused to return to Formosa. He said that there was corruption arnons high officers in the Nationalist armed forces and that he would be put to death if he were to return to Formosa.
