WELLINGTON, September 16. Investments totalling £12,598 were made with the Totalisator Agency Board on race meetings yesterday. The board’s Feilding agency handled £2138 ss, and the Dannevirke agency £1270, Postal betting amounted to £9189 15s. The investments at the various meetings were as follows: Marton: Win and place. £2729 10s; double, £1393; total, £4122 10s. Ashburton: Win and place, £1073; double £651 ss; total, £1724 ss. Auckland: Win and place, £999 10s; double. £529 15s: total, £1529 ss. Wellington: Win and place, £1429; double, £B2B ss; total, £2257 ss. Thames: Win and place, £1511; double, £1453 15s; total, £2964 15s. Total win-and place investments were £7742, and double investments were £4856. Off-course substitutes for scratched horses were: Marton, Admiral’s Lady; Ashburton, Master Mariner Reminiscent bracket; Auckland, Brilliant Light; and Thames, Nom de Plume.
