U.S. COPPER STRIKE

President Truman to-night invoked the emergency provisions of the TaftHartley Act in an effort to end the stake of the Mine. Mill, and Smelter Workers’ Union against the Kennec°tt Copper Company. . J strike has virtually halted Unitea btates production of copper, lead, and zinc.
