LINER REFLOATED AT SYDNEY

(Rec. 8 p.m.) SYDNEY, August 31. The Burns Philp liner, Bulolo, was refloated this morning and towed back across the Sydney harbour to a Walsh Bay wharf, where four gangs of watersiders have begun unloading her cargo of copra. , Firemen and crew members worked on the liner all night, pumping water from her holds and watching for more outbreaks of fire. Many isolated pockets of fire were smouldering in the cork insulation. The Bulolo was refloated easily on the tide, apparently none the worse f °The°fuU Extent of the damage will not be known until the ship is fully unloaded and inspected, but unofficially it is stated die damage is not as extensive as at first feared. The superintendent-engineer for Messrs Burns Philp (Mr R. L. Waddell) says hull plates are not damaged. Fire experts now believe the outbreak was caused by spontaneous combustion.
