M. Grant. S.M.. in a judgment delivered in the Magistrate's Court today. The case was one in which Frederick Carr, managing director of New Zealand Attractions. Ltd., had pleaded not guiltv to permitting liquor to be taken into the Majestic Cabaret when he had the management of a dance there. Carr was fined £l5. Mr S. G. Stephenson, the defence counsel, sought security for appeal which was fixed at £lO 10s.
