Korean Fronts . Oec. Il p.m.) TOKYO, August 26. South Korean forces on the east central and east fronts in Korea yesterday held off a number of Communist attacks against positions won in last week’s limited offensive. An Bth Army communique to-day said the Communists had put in probing forces up to battalion size, but OMt of the enemy soldiers had been withdrawn after failing in their attacks. Hie South Koreans secured another nul position north-north-west ,of Etsewhere contact was light British and other United Nations warships co-operated in bombarding land targets. A North Korean communique claimed that North Korean Army units one United Nations destroyer and Msvily damaged another off the northeast coast of Korea on Friday.
