SCHOOLBOY’S DEATH LAMP EXPLODES IN FACE When an acetylene lamp exploded while he was playing with it on Saturday morning a 15-year-old schoolboy suffered injuries from which he dtad about a quarter of an hour later. The boy, who was a pupil of St Bede's College, was: Daniel ‘Bernard Galvin, whose father is Mr D. A. Galvin, of 12 Mathiai street, St. Albans. August 3t A freezing worker received fatal injuries when a truck in which he war riding overturned on the main Master-ton-Castle Point highway at Te ON Ore late yesterday afternoon. He was Paul Karaitiana, aged 25. Both Karaitiana and Edwin H®' mer. the other occupant, were pinned under the truck, which was extensively damaged. Karaitiana was taken to the Masterton Hospital where he died two houn later. Harmer suffered concussion aM was allowed to go home.
