RIFLE SHOOTING
CHRISTCHURCH DEFENCE CLUB The Christchurch Defence Rifle Club fired a long range competition at Tai Tapu with seven shots each at 800 and 900 yards. E. Truman scored the only possible, which was shot at 800 yards. Results were:—
Terrorism in Eritrea.— Three natives were sentenced to death by a British Court to-day for taking part in the shooting and bomb-throwing in Asmara on December 12, which resulted in the death of an Italian. The trial is the first terrorist trial- to be held by a British Court in Eritrea.— Asmara, January 30.
