INVESTIGATION IN ARGENTINA

NEWSPAPER OFFICES SEIZED (Rec. 9 p.m.) BUENOS AIRES, November 24. An Argentine Congressional Committee yesterday seized the business offices of the four remaining independent newspapers of Buenos Aires, including the great Opposition newspapers. “La Nacion” and “La Prensa” and the Communist newspaper “La Hora.” Two Congressional deputies, accompanied by police, carried out the seizures. They said they were investigating whether the newspapers accepted money from the coalition, which unsuccessfully. opposed the election of the President (General J. D. Peron) in 1945.
