COMMUNISTS ADVANCE ON CHUNGKING (Rec. 9.30 p.m.) HONG KONG, Nov. 23. Kweilin, capital of the Kwangsi Province has been captured by General Lin-Piao’s Communist forces, according to the Communist High

Command. This column is now advancing on Liuchow, 75 miles south-west of Kweilin. General Chen Keng’s forces, advancing westward along the West river, are close to Wuchow. from which all Nationalists have withdrawn. Communist forces are also reported to have made further advances in Szechwan. General Liu Po-cheng’s troops, after capturing Chunghsien on the Yangtse river, 105 miles north-east of Chungking, are approaching Fengtu, 80 miles north-west of the city. In the Kweichow province, the Communists claimed they had entered Liping, 135 miles south-east of Kweiyang.
