The M.C.C. team wAa all out for 379 exactly an boor after play was resumed in the match a<ain*t New Zealand at Lord’s to-day. The M.C.C.’t last four wickets fell this morning for 68 runs. Burtt took six of the M.C.C. wickets, and Care three. At the luncheon adjournment, New Zealand, in its first innings, had lost two wickets for 29 him. Sutcliffe was out for three, and Scott was dismissed for nVe. The M.C.C. lost its seventh wicket 20 minutes after play was resumed today. Cresswell swung the ball away from Broderick, the Northampton slow left-arm bowler, who last year took 100 wickets and scored 1000 runs. Broderick who is a left-handed batsman, snicked the ball, as he was playing forward defensively, straight to Reid at first slip. This gave the M.C.C. 334 for seven. Bailey, a Cambridge Cricket Association football blue, who plays for Essex, joined Watkins. Watkins was looking for runs, after scoring 50 in anLhour And three-quarters. Watkins, who played in all five tests against the South Africans, and was used for one test against the Australians last year, is a left-hander from Glamorgan. Cave nearly had Griffith with his next ball. Laker decided, after failing to score for 20 minutes, that it was time to hit.

He on-drove a ball from Burtt for two, and pulled another ball for three. He also swung at bowling from Cave, and lofted him twice to the off, for two each time.. Griffith hit at a ball from Burtt and hit it straight to the sight screen. Scott was on the boundary, but he, ran into the screen as he took the ball. Which was knocked out of his hand.
