EXPLOSIONS AND FIRE IN NEW YORK TRAFFIC TUNNEL.—A seene of wreckage inside the Holland tunnel under the Hudson river, New York, after the recent explosions and fire which destroyed or damaged 85 lorries and motor-cars. Sixty-six persons were overcome by fumes. The fire started when 90 drums of poisonous carbon disulphide on a lorry exploded.
