MOTOR-CYCLE HILL CLIMB
> The Canterbury Auto- Cycle Club held its grass hill climb championships at Hals- ; well over the week-end. The hill was 1 in perfect condition and the large crowd , saw some excellent riding. The results were as follows: 250 c.c.: R. Entwhistle 1. Time, 14, l-ssec. 350 c.c.: T. Newman 1, R. Entwhistle 2. Time, 12sec. 500 c.c.: J. Swarbrick 1, A. Holland 2, W. Swarbrick 3.
Time, 9 3-ssec. Open class: A. Holland 1, J. Swarbrick 2, W. Swarbrick 3. Time, 9 3-ssec. J. Swarbrick equalled the record of 9sec held by A. Holland. W. Swarbrick made the second fastest time with 9 2-ssec.
