St. Albans 152 for seven wickets declared beat West Old Boys 103 and 27 by an innings and 22 runs. For St. Albans Sail took six for 4. THIRD GRADE A Sydenham 221 (Jackson 102) and 25 for one wicket met Riccarton 133 (Wainscott 72 not out). THIRD GRADE B Riccarton A 124 beat Cathedral B 123 by one run on the first innings. For Riccarton Brown took six for 37. West Christchurch 209 for five wickets declared (Stott 120 not out) drew with Cathedral 177 for nine wickets. East Christchurch 189 for six Bvickets declared (Avery 69, Adlam 57) beat Riccarton 113 (Stanley 53) and 87 for five wickets by 76 runs on the first innings. Sydenham 117 beat High School Old Boys 112 by five runs on the first innings. For Sydenham, Findlay took five for 32. THIRD GRADE C Boys’ High School A 142 met St. Bede’s College 78 for three wickets. Christ’s College A 155 met West High School 175 for six wickets (Stiles 103, Marsh 50).
FOURTH GRADE A Cathedral A 132 (Butler 50) and 57 for three wickets beat Sydneham 44 and 150 by 88 runs on the first innings. For Cathedral, Gilmore took six for 25, including the hat-trick. High School Old Boys 116 for seven wickets declared and 22 for two wickets beat Cathedral B 76 and 60 by eight wickets. For Old Boys Turnbull took nine for 22. Riccarton 119 beat East Christchurch 95 and 51 for three wickets by 23 runs on the first innings. Lancaster Park B 129 beat West Christchurch 74 by 55 runs on the first innings. For Lancaster Park Whittaker took five for 15; for West Christchurch Tindall took six for 41. Lancaster Park A 246 for six wickets (Whiteside 141) beat St. Bede’s Old Boys 233 (Dempsey 68) by four wickets on the first innings. For St. Bede’s, Bradley took five for 42. Technical Old Boys 192 (Rule .74) beat St. Albans 83 and 52 by an Innings and 57 runs. For Technical Old Boys Rule tqok six for 40 and in the second innings McKinnon took six for 31. FOURTH GRADE B Boys’ High School A 49 and 62 for five wickets beat Boys’ High School B 65 and 45 by five wickets. For the A team. Blick took six for 8; for the B team Kennedy took six for 10. St. Bede’s A 199 for six wickets (K. Stopforth 53) beat St. Andrew’s College 189 (Schurter 81 not out) by 10 runs on the first innings. St. Bede’s College B 90 and 34 for five wickets beat Cathedral 59 and 60 by five wickets. For St. Bede’s, Joyce took five for 30; for Cathedral, Bolger took five for West High School 133 and 22 for three wickets beat Christ’s College B 70 and 113 by 83 runs on the first innings.
