FAIR FOR FUNDS FOR LEPERS
£lOO RAISED ON SATURDAY At the South Christchurch Intermediate School on Saturday a fair was held to raise funds for the administration of Leper hospitals in the islands. The Leper Trust Board was m charge of the organisation. The chairman introduced the Mayor (Mr E - H. Andrews), who spoke of the good work' being done at Makogai and other leper stations. The Private of New Zealand, Archbishop west-Watson. told of a trip on which ■» d been taken over the station Makogai. He made reference to }P e money raised in New Zealand and the good use to which it was put in Providing equipment and buildings at t--e stations.
