£250 Raised in Street Appeal A street appeal held yesterday by the Canterbury Ex Royal Naval Mens Association and the Christchurch Home Service Association resulted in the collection of £250. The public support was marvellous, considering the adverse weather in the morning, and the fact that there were only about 120 boxes out. compared with the usual 300 for such an appeal, said the organiser (Mr C. V. Rawley) yesterday.
