Commissioner Hu§h Sladen, head of the international public relations bureau of the Salvation Army in London, will arrive by air in Auckland from Honolulu to-day. He will be accompanied by his wife. They are on a*world tour before Commissioner Sladen's retirement from active service.— (P.A.)
Mr Dermot Straker, formerly a senior psychologist on the staff of the Admiralty, will arrive in Wellington in March to take over his new post as occupational psychology research officer to the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. Advice of this was received last night by the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association. Mr Straker was formerly on the staff of the National Institute of Industrial Psychology. Britain. ,
