FIRES AT SOUTH BRIGHTON
PINE NEEDLES IN DOMAIN There were two outbreaks of fire in the South Brighton Domain, off Estuary road, last night. The first call to the' Fire Brigade was at 8.59 p.m. and the second at 12.51 a.m. Pme needles were alight, and if the fires had not been checked neighbouring houses would have been threatened. Both fires were put out without much trouble. , , “It seemed as if someone had set the Din? needles alight deliberately, said a fireman. “The second fire was well alight and spread over a wide area.” .
