PRICE OF BOILED SWEETS
Sir, —I would like some information about the price of boiled sweets. Recently I bought lib of sweets (boiled) and was charged 4s at a country store, not nine miles from the city. At another I was charged 2s fid. Which is the correct price?—Yours, etc., P.F.M. January 24, 1949. [An officer of the Price Tribunal said that there were different varieties of boiled sweets, sold at different prices, which might account for the disparity in prices as reported by the correspondent. If details were given to the Price Tribunal an investigation would be made, he said.]
