TAULOCH’S WINNINGS
MAY SET NEW RECORD From Our Own Reporter WELLINGTON, Jan. 26. Tauloch. the champion three-year-old. is now within striking distance of Signal Officer's record for winnings in one season. His success in the Gloaming Stakes at Trentham on Monday advanced the Balloch colt’s stake earnings to £10,675, and if he takes the honours in the Trentham Stakes on the third day of the meeting on Saturday, he will establish a new record.
Tauloch in his present form holds a great chance of winning again on Saturday. Tauloch’s total winnings amount to £15,525, and he is only about half-way through his second season.
Wellington Scratchings.—Scratchings today for the final day of the' Wellington meeting on Saturday were:—Kelburn Hack Handicap, La Modelie (10 a.m.); Hopeful Stakes, Prince Defaulter (4.25 p.m.); Kaitoke Hack Handicap, Open Sky (4.25 p.m.)—(P.A.)
