DISCUSSION OF BRITISH POLICY LONDON, January 9. The Dominion High Commissioners met senior members of the British Cabinet at No. 10 Downing Street tod£Reuter’s political earrespondent says that the meeting followed a discussion of the international situation by the Cabinet yesterday when the Foreign Secretary (Mr Bevin) reviewed British foreign policy after the failure of the Foreign Ministers’ Conference. The Prime Minister (Mr Attlee) presided at the High Commissioners’ meeting which Mr Bevin, the Colonial Secretary (Mr A. Creech Jones), the Lord Chancellor (Lord Jowitt) and the President of the Board of Trade (Mr Harold Wilson) also attended. Higher Price for Sugar.— Suga- producers in 1948 will receive a gross price increase of £3 a ton under an agreement by which the British Ministry of Food will take over the entire exportable surplus of the sugarproducing Dominions and colonies.London, January 10.
