minister resigns PATRONAGE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, December 11. “I would be the first to defend a Communist Party which showed by it s actions, and not by empty phrases, that it stood for democratic rule and procedure.” said the Minister of Rehabilitation (Mr C. F. Skinner), commenting on the decision of the Victoria Universitv College Socialist Club that he was “no longer a fit person” to be patron of the club. “I will fight to the last against any political party seeking to gain and retain power by Vi 2}u nce ’” said Minister. . .
