CHRISTMAS PARTY

BUSINESS WOMEN’S CLUB An enjoyable Christmas party was hold last evening in Hay’s Lourige by members of the Christchurch Business and Professional Women’s Club. The president (Mrs A. Schumacher) presided.

A musical programme was presented by Miss Tui Uru, Mrs Linda Haase and Mrs W. E. Olds. A sketch was given by Mrs Beryl Windsor and Miss F. Nicholls, and a monologue by Miss Peggy Storrar. A mock Court and a game of forfeits caused much amusement.

There were about 60 members present, and the guest of honour was the Mayoress (Mrs F. Hardy Cookson) who cut the Christmas cake.
