GOVERNMENT HOUSE BALL

25 DEBUTANTES PRESENTED (P.A.) WELLINGTON. October 29. In the white and gold ballroom at Government House to-night, 25 debutantes were presented to the Gover-nor-General and Lady Freyberg at a ball which was attended by a representative assembly. At 8 o’clock their Excellencies entered the ballroom accompanied by members of their staff. At the conclusion of the presentation ceremony their Excellencies retired and returned to the ballroom as dancing began at 9 o’clock. . The Governor-General was in evening dress with decorations. Lady Freyberg wore a trained gown of hyacinth blue slipper satin, with embroidered shoulder straps, and a diamond tiara, brooch., and earrings.
