Wellington, and dealing with the 20 hours following the time of issue, is as follows Situation: an anti-cyclone east of New Zealand and a depression in the south-west Tasman sea. Forecast to 5 pan.: light to moderate, variable winds. Coastal fogs in the morning. Otherwise fair to fine. Temperatures mild or warm. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Light to moderate, variable winds. Cloudy with scattered rain chiefly in the south. Temperatures mild. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather yesterday was fine and warm, with a very light north-east yind. In areas near the sea, a fog came over during the afternoon. At 1 o’clock this morning the sky was clear and there was a very light north-west wind. The barometer at 30.05 in (1017.6 millibars) was steady.
