LOSS OF PROPERTY IN SIAM

CLAIMS COMMITTEE SET UP (P.A.) WELLINGTON, March 8. A British Common wealth-Siamese claims committee is being set up at Bangkok to adjudicate on the claims of British nationals against the Government of Siam in respect of loss or damage to British property, rights, and interests or personal prejudice arising out of the war. Details of the procedure for submitting claims have not yet been fixed, but New Zealanders who have claims should inform the Department of External Affairs as soon as possible if they have not already done so.

It is understood that all. claimants will be required to complete prescribed claims forms. The department will get in touch with the claimants of whose identity it is advised as soon as these forms are received.
