OBITUARY

. MR F. W. JONES Mr Fred. »W. Jones, who was managing director of the International Harvester Company of New Zealand. Ltd . from 1909 to 1928. died at Los Angeles last Tuesday. This advice has been received by the present managing director of the company in New Zealand (Mr R. W. Morgan). Mr Jones, who was born in the United States, joined the International Harvester Company as a young man and served as an agent for it in Argentina. England, and America, before coming to New Zealand, He did much to increase the number of tractors and agricultural implements i -.ed in the Dominion before ret : ing in 1928. He was well known to farmers ?nd businessmen. especially in Canterbury. When he retired Mr Jones returned to live at Los Angeles.
