PREPARATIONS BEGUN AT WEMBLEY (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright)

LONDON, January 23. Work has begun at Wembley on the organisation of the Olympic Games, which will open on July 29, 1948, and close on August 14, The Games will consist of 17 events, in which the greatest athletes of 25 nations will participate. A running track with seven lanes will supplant the greyhound and speedway tracks of the Wembley Stadium. The Games present a problem which may necessitate building a special Olympic village- -
