WIN BY FISHERMAN’S WIFE (Special Correspondent N.Z.P.A.) (Rec. 8.45 p.m.) LONDON, January 23. Mrs Dorothy Sheader, wife of a Hull trawler captain, was informed while her husband was absent on a fortnight’s fishing trip that she had won £26,000 in a football pool, which she said she had filled up to help pass the time while her husband was absent This is the largest football pool prize yet won by a woman. Mrs Sheader said she proposed to use some of the money to give her three children a good education.
