BREMEN DECLARED A SEPARATE STATE

The United States Military Government has declared Bremen a separate state in the American occupation zone, thus returning it to the traditionally -independent status it enjoyed as a Hanseatic trade centre, says the Berlin correspondent of the Associated Press. The territory includes the port of Bremerhaven. ,
