STREET TREES AS WAR MEMORIALS.—Mr C. Burrowes planting a tree in Perry street, Papanui, yesterday, as a memorial to his son, Sergeant Pilot T. B. Burrowes, who was killed on active service during the war. Lines of trees are to be planted in Perry, Dormer, and St. John streets, and in Tillman avenue as living memorials to Papanui men who gave their lives in the war.
