Situation: Pressure Is low to the east and south of New Zealand. The forecast is for moderate and variable winds; south-westerlies freshening at times. Weather fair at first, but showers developing later in the day. WEST COAST Moderate winds from a westerly quarter. Cloudy, cool, with occasional showers. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The week-end in Christchurch was fine and sunny. At 1 o’clock this morning the sky was overcast and there was a light easterly breeze.
