Mr A. G. Williams was appointed to represent the Heathcote County. Council aTa conference of all constituent bodies within the North Canterbury Hospital district, called by the Canterbury Progress League to discuss the Hospital Boards proposal to erect a new hospital building at the foot of Cashmere Hills. The league asked that delegates be given power to make decisions as the matter was urgent Mr F. W. Freeman presided. .A iu e T- tr !SP th ? It was suggested that if the applicant could produce documentary evidence that he was authorised to drive while overseas, a licence could be issued without a further test. < The council decided to reply that it was in favour of the suggestion.
