MR FRASER IN U.S.

MEETINGS WITH WAR LEADERS (Rec. 10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, April 18. After conferring with United States naval officials, including Colonel Frank Knox, the Assistant-Secretary of the Navy (Mr James Forrestal), and Admiral Ernest J. King, the New Zealand Prime Minister (Mr Peter Fraser) said: “We had good talks on strategy. There were some important, specific points." Mr Fraser will have talks with the United States Secretary for War (Mr H. L. Stimson), Genera] Marshall, and General Arnold to-morrow. He is also scheduled to appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in a closed session to-morrow. In honour of Mr and Mrs Fraser, Mr and Mrs Walter Nash this afternoon gave a reception. There were 500 guests, including United States officials and diplomats.
