FURTHER WATER RESTRICTIONS
After a conference held yesterday morning between the Mayor (Mr F. E. Sutton), the chairman of tire waterworks committee (Cr. W. T. Foster), and council officials, an announcement was made that, until further notice, the use of water for gardens or for any purpose other than domestic use was prohibited Because of the danger of fire, the lighting of fires In the open is also forbidden. The council will be unable to supply the Public Works Department with water for extensive works after to-morrow.
