ACTIONS IN MINING STRIKE (Rec. 10.30 p.m.) NEW YORK May 15. Executives of the Congress of Industrial Organisations, at a meeting to discuss war-time policy, adopted a resolution urging equitable wage adjustments for the mine workers. The resolution also claimed that tne miners’ president (Mr John L. Lewis) had jeopardised the miners just demands by “exploiting injustices within the mining industry in furtherance of his personal and political vendetta against Mr Roosevelt.” rTn The resolution added that the C.1.0. must condemn the actions of Mr Lewis and any others rejecting the established procedures for equitable adjustments of labour’s true grievances.
