MAY DAY PARTY One of the most successful May Day parties for children yet held by the Lyttelton Plunket Society was that in the Excelsior Hall on Saturday afternoon, a large number of children and parents being present. Kathleen Donahoe was awarded first prize, and was declared to be the May queen. Others gaining prizes were Jocelyn Taylor, Frances Saloman, Laurel Adams, Beverley Harkess, Shirley McLean, Ann Pascoe, Patricia Bennett, Jimmy Mills, Waverley Nolan, Barry Fyfe, Bruce Wales. Janice Millar, Ella and Rita Pentecost, John Cornish, Waikura Briggs, Robert and David Adams, Dianne Muxlow, Patricia Scott, Donald Malins, Norma Cornish, George Ticehurst, Sylvia Jackways, Molly Le Comte, Wayne Nolan, Raymond Paulger, Valmai Taylor, Marie Conradi. and Beverley Ashton. Items were given by pupils of the Lyttelton Main School and the Convent School.
